People in this life have confused walking lightly and passively as being Christ-like. They just breeze around and walk so soft with their views of different aspects of the Bible and societal norms that will make you believe that they are some of the nicest people on the planet.
Just because someone ends a phrase with baby, darlin or sugar does not make them be a part of the body of Christ. These words are not a sign that they are saved.
I have often said if someone is smiling, while saying that they are going to un-alive you, the last thing on your mind should be how pleasant they delivered you the bad news.
I believe we should be looking at their production of fruit and not their seemingly pleasant disposition. It matters not what people say if everything they do is against the written word of God. When I speak of what people do, I am speaking of their actions, their lifestyle and their prolonged production of fruit.
If someone says they are an apple tree, I may not at first glance see apples being produced. Yet shortly thereafter I should see apples populating around the base of said tree. Jesus said in Matthew 12:33 - “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit”.
The crux: A person's character (the tree) should forever match their words and actions (what they produce).
Do not let pleasant talk overwhelm your spiritual insight. Watch their fruit production.
By the way. Look up the word “insight.”
Much Love,
