Good morning brothers, look at Galatians 6:2 - "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ".
From this day forward let us practice active empathy. Remembering that there are many people who are struggling in this life because of life’s situations. We are therefore required to step in and relieve our brothers and sisters of these burdens. Intimating that sometimes this certain relief may require us to ear hustle (listening to God for a word for them or just being a sounding board for them). Our relief may also be shown in our privilege to pray on their behalf. Whatever the case let us be ready to minister.
In addition, do not think that there is a contradiction between verses 2 and 5. As the 5th verse states that every person should bear their own burdens. For this verse explains that for each of us there are certain criterion as children of The God of Heaven that we must do for ourselves. Things in which no person may assist such as accountability for our actions and the character we are to possess as children of The Most High God. Nevertheless, when it comes to situations in life that may be too much for one person to carrying alone we must be willing to help.
When we do this we fulfill the law of Christ. Which according to John 13:34-35, says "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
By bearing each other’s burdens people will know beyond any doubt that we belong to Christ, that we are HIS disciples and more importantly, that we are also the church for which Christ shall return. Listen... Let’s remember this as we peruse through our days to come. Have a heart for others.
Have a blessed day brothers and sisters. Love you all.
