Kenyon Ashford

Pastor Kenyon F. Ashford is a native of Starkville, Mississippi.  He is the youngest of ten siblings.  His loving parents, Wilson & Ruby Ashford, raised him to reverence Elohim.

Pastor Ashford served in the US Air Force from 1987 – 1994, where he was an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist (Crew Chief).  He graduated from Mississippi State in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree.   In addition to being a pastor, aiding us in our spiritual walk, he is also a personal trainer, helping with our fitness goals.

Pastor Ashford accepted his calling to preach on July 2, 1998, at 5:30 pm.  Since that time, he has been passionately teaching and showing others how to live for Christ.   He says of himself:  My hearts passion is teaching and preaching the infallible Word of the Almighty.  If I can define my work for the cause of Jesus Christ and what I desire the most for you in one sentence – I would say that I love to the fullest extent what I do because I want others to know my Father in Heaven as and like I do.  Pastor Ashford desires that we live by the scripture: Mark 12:29-31 – And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  There is none other commandment greater than these.

Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Kenyon Ashford founded and organized Finding Your Way through Christ Ministries Church on July 1, 2007. The church was founded on the motto of being a Kingdom-Minded Church, established in a Kingdom-Minded Doctrine, teaching Kingdom-Minded Principles, fulfilling Kingdom-Minded Purposes.  Our foundational scripture is Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

On June 3, 2023, Pastor Ashford wed Angela (Deanes) Ashford.  Mrs. Ashford also served 6 years active service in the United States Army.  Currently, she is serving as a Logistics Specialist at Columbus Air Force in Columbus MS.  They are the proud parents of one daughter (Keinira), one son (Christopher) and two grandsons (Zyion and Zyqir).
