The Long Arm of God

Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening Fam,

For a moment let’s talk about The Long Arm of The Lord. In Isaiah 14:24,27 it reads......
24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

Throughout the Bible, but especially in the Old Testament, we see that the motif was to make the children of Israel come to the conclusion that they only needed The Lord of Hosts. The journey of the great Exodus, a journey that should have taken no longer than two weeks. A journey to teach Israel to trust in Elohim as he would be their provider, for they were his chosen people. Of course, this short journey ended up being a forty year teaching session. When we acquiesce to Gods rules and regulations, we at that time obligate him to see after all our needs, as we are now his children. Irrespective of the need be it food, water, shelter, protection, or all issues whether physical or spiritual. He would now be their provider. Which is why scripture says to take no thought of what we shall eat, drink or wear. (Matthew 6:25) When we accept his teachings and way of life, we obligate him to address all that we may need or desire. It is the Lord who will fight ALL our battles irrespective of who or what may be in our path. As scripture states in 2 Chronicles 20:17, “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.”

Today, The Lord is still saying that he only needs us to show up to the battle but we would not need to fight for the battle belongs to him. Jesus said it this way while offering peace in John 16:33. He said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” He assured us that in this world we will have tribulation but to be of good cheer for he has already overcome the world. You didn’t hear that did you? Now that, which was spoken by Gods Son, is shouting material. By his own admission he intimated that he is timeless. The Trinity is Infinite, not being bound by time nor space. God The Creator, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit has already fought and won every battle that we will ever face as time is in God and not the converse. The Most High is not bound by time. Listen now!!! So Elohim has already went before you in time and fought all of the battles that you will ever face and so he says this, ”be of good cheer I have already overcome the world”.  Whatever battle that we will ever face, he has already fought and won. We are not to be concerned about future incidents, for all that is necessary is that we have faith and realize that we already have his favor.

When you come to Christ, it doesn’t mean the enemy will not approach us but it does mean that whatever he brings up or tries to bring against us, as a result of our being in him, no weapon formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). This means battles now and in the future. They will all come to nothing, as we have made the Lord God truth is our shield and buckler (Psalm 91:4). Whether food, clothing, shelter or protection, those battles present and future have already been fought and won. This is why we can count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations for only our faith is being tested and we need only to stand still, while praying and fasting, that we may remain patient in the midst of a trial (James1:2-4)

I’M GOING TO SAY IT ANOTHER WAY.....”WE DO NOT NEED TO FIGHT BATTLES THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN WON. AGAIN, BY SAYING THIS, I MEAN ALL BATTLES PRESENT AND FUTURE. WE ONLY NEED TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH. THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH IS TO KEEP OUR EYE SINGLE, FOCUS OUR FAITH ON OUR FATHER AND HIS TRUTH, AND NEVER ALLOW OUR VIEW OF HIM TO BLUR BY LOOKING AWAY FROM HIM IN ANY DIRECTION.

The Word of God has spoken let the Church say Amen.

Much Love,
Pastor Ken (P.K.)
